Oahu July 4th Fireworks
1Magic Island Ala Moana Park – 8:30pm
This is granddaddy of all July 4th Fireworks in Hawaii and the crowds will prove it to you. People come early, like days early, to mark out their spots. The city usually allows public overnight access to this event due to popularity. Fortunately Ala Moana Shopping Center is right across the street with over 11,000 parking stalls, avoid the round and round search and valet or if you are late you can park at the Convention Center for a fee. Ala Moana also offers special discounts that week and live entertainment at center stage. If you are catching TheBUS remember they operate on a Sunday schedule for Independence Day no matter what day of the week it falls on, more info at their website HERE! For those of you staying in Waikiki (tourists AND locals!) you can also us the Waikiki Trolley to drop you off at Ala Moana shopping center. Use the Pink Line trolley and it will pick you up at most hotels, full list and times are HERE!
2Turtle Bay – 8:30pm (All Day Festival)
This is an all day extravaganza of festivities that you can actually stretch out to an all weekend event if you want. The #fabledfourth that Turtle Bay hosts every year is really done right with its own parking complete with separate entrance away from hotel guests. They host special menus, drinks, and a star studded live music lineup. Each year is special in it own way so be sure to check their website for the most up to date info HERE! One of their most popular weekends of the year make sure you book early if you plan on staying overnight.
3Kailua – 8pm (Airshow 6-6:30pm)
The Kailua fireworks celebration for independence day is unique in that it is community supported and funded. With a strong and loyal following they fundraise each year with multiple events to ensure a successful event. If you want to donate directly or participate in an upcoming event here is the link. There will be multiple locations open for public parking from 3-11pm and their will also be a shuttle running from 3:30-10:30pm. Event parking and shuttle information can be found HERE! 4Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam – 9pm
This July 4th event is only open to current Department of Defense ID cardholders, those who are not can still view the fireworks from the Battleship Missouri. The annual Picnic on the Pier is open to everyone and hosted by the Battleship Missouri Memorial organization, check out their FB page here. The celebration begins at 3pm and goes until the fireworks end at 9:30pm. With a long list of free and paid activities for the whole family it really is a full day event. For a complete list of times, activities, and links to purchasing tickets (Picnic on the Pier) you can go here. You can pre-purchase your tickets and get a whole table for 8 if going in a group. Free shuttle service runs from the Pearl Harbor Visitors Center which has a fair amount of parking. This event allows you to bring food and beverages so be sure to pack accordingly, if you prefer to travel light they will have food and drinks available for purchase.

Big Island July 4th Fireworks
6Hilo Bay – 8pm
The annual Hilo Fireworks show, otherwise known as the Hilo Bay Blast, is the show to attend if you are on the east side of The Big Island. This is a great family friendly event with lots of activities for kids and parents. They have annual cook-offs with local and celebrity judges along with a wide variety of favorite dishes. Lots of games for the whole family and live music to enjoy. Activities, music, and food can all be found by the Mo’oheau Bandstand followed by a wonderful fireworks show over famous Hilo Bay. Hele-On Bus operates on a holiday schedule for Independence day so be sure to check their website for times and locations served, you can do that HERE!
7Waikoloa Beach Resort – 8pm
This is the Big Islands July 4th Extravaganza event and it is free to the whole family. This event starts early in the day at 11am and runs until 8pm when the fireworks start. Located at the Queens Marketplace, a beautiful resort style mall with koi ponds, fountains, and restaurants. The Waikaloa Beach Resort has taken the time to make this a safe and enjoyable event so be sure to check this list for prohibited and acceptable items. 8Kailua-Kona – 8pm (Parade – 6pm)
The Kailua Kona Independence Day parade and fireworks show is another community run event that relies on your support. You can donate directly through Paypal HERE! The parade starts at 6pm and heads along the coast with lots of viewing areas for all those attending. For a complete parade route check out their community page here.
Maui July 4th Fireworks
9Front Street, Lahaina – 8pm
This is the ONLY fireworks display on Maui, brought to you by The Lahaina Town Action committee. This is an all day event starting from 2:00pm and ending after the fireworks which go off at 8:00pm. There are food and drink special at almost all the restaurants along front street. Remember that Front St. is shut down to vehicular traffic from 4:00pm to 9:00pm. If you are looking for a unique vantage point, take a look at some of the boats chartering from Lahaina Harbor with July 4th specials. This is a community run event so be sure to purchase one of the official t-shirts sold at several locations.
Kauai July 4th Fireworks
10Vindinha Soccer Field – 8:30pm
The 27th Annual Concert in the Sky Fundraiser supports the Kaua’i Hospice and is their annual Independence Day Fundraiser. This is the largest July 4th fireworks show on the Island of Kaua’i and a family favorite. Located at the Vindinha Soccer Field Google Map Link with lots of room to layout and enjoy the show. Be sure to bring a blanket and chair for the event. Tickets at the gate are $15 for adults and $7 for children, 5 and under get in free. Pre-sale tickets are available July 1st thru the 3rd from Times/Big Save Markets and the Kaua’i Hospice Office. Pre-sale prices are $10 for adults and $5 for children 6-12. Support the Kaua’i Hospice, a 501(c)3 organization by donating HERE!
11Kekaha Faye Park – 9:30pm
This family friendly event, alcohol and drug free, is located in the small town of Kekaha (pop. 3175 as of 2000 census). An all day event with a delicious variety food, live music, local crafts, and entertainment you will experience the small town feel like no other. Bring your favorite beach chair, mats, and grab a spot early. Parking is available at Faye Park with is near the event, here is the Google Map Link.
Lanai July 4th Fireworks
12Dole Park (JULY 2ND!!) – 9pm
Did you see the date on this one? Your July 4th Fireworks will be on July 2nd, which is a Saturday and if you know the ferry schedule by heart you will be happy to hear they added a 9:30pm back to Lahaina from Manele just for you. Make sure you call Expeditions to book your reservation early. The Annual Pineapple Festival is filled with crafts, music, entertainment, and delicious food. Fireworks start at 9:00pm and this years featured entertainment can be found HERE!
